Hailey's Prom// April 30th, 2016

K. So I'm still trying to figure out how to set up this blog scenario because I'm V lazy at getting around to things I don't understand, which is why I'm posting this now when it actually happened ten months ago.
Did I get better at blogger? NOPE. I just kinda said screw it.
I'm mainly just warning you, it's gonna look janky for a while.

ANYWAYS, my baby sis had her senior prom last year which was both exciting and depressing at the same time.
I also drove through a blizzard from Aspen, Colorado to Cheyenne, Wyoming in a rental Toyota Corolla to do her makeup and hair so basically she owes me for life.

Hailey went a little rogue on me and filled in her brows with her own brow pencil while I was measuring her lashes (I'm guessing that's what's pulling through a tiny bit red because she's definitely not a red head) so I basically topped them off with NYX "Control Freak" and called it a day on those bad boys.

Lips//
Not a damn thing. Sad I know. My own flesh and blood [not really] didn't want any lip product.

Hair//
This is genuinely the first updo I've ever done so yeah, it's not perfect, but like, if your hairdresser dies on the day of your event- I could maybe help you out. Ya know?
I basically just did a French braid on the right side with a deep part and secured that at the end with a tiny clear elastic. I teased behind the braid towards her crown and secured that volume with bobby pins. I primed the rest of her hair with my CHI 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection spray, and curled it all with a 1" Hot Tools wand, alternating towards and away from her face. I left a little bit out on the left side and pulled the rest through one of those bun donut things in a low pony and used 117 bobbies to pin that shit up. Finally, I twisted the bits on the left and secured them somewhere in the abyss of the donut.
I have no clue how she got that out at the end of the night... Maybe she didn't.

Haley's Wedding// April 23rd, 2016

I had the honor of doing my beautiful cousin's makeup for her wedding a couple of ten months ago.

She's the type of girl that likes dark, smokey eye makeup - but since she's my cousin I asked if we could tone it down juuuuust a bit from her inspo pics and we agreed on a slight smoke to make her eyes stand out from behind her glasses while keeping the look as a whole on the brighter side.
